- Cape Town: This area of unparalleled beauty and tranquility is perfectly located for excursions to nearby places of interest, including the cosmopolitan city of Cape Town with its many places of interest and dazzling night life.
- Wine Estates: The numerous world famous wine estates nearby make an excellent starting point, and a morning or a day spent exploring these are a delight. (See Cape Winelands Map)
- Nature: For nature lovers - the Paarl Bird Sanctuary and Wild Flower Reserve together showcase the huge richness of the flora and fauna in the area.
- Active holidays: With one of South Africa's most scenic valleys on their doorstep, active guests will need little invitation to go hiking, jogging, mountain biking, horse-riding or fishing. A few kilometers away, the Paarl Mountain hiking trails beckon, as does the beautiful Arboretum Cycling Trail along the Berg River.
- Golf: Golfers too are well catered for at a number of excellent courses nearby including the 18 hole, par 72, Jack Nicklaus designed Paarl Valley Golf Course as well as Paarl, Stellenbosch, De Zalze, Erinvale, Somerset West and Booschenmeer.
- Wine making: Those seeking more leisurely activities have numerous options. Because the estate is on a working wine farm, there is ample opportunity to explore this fascinating industry, from the skill of grape harvesting to the complexities of winemaking itself, to the subtleties of wine tasting. Olives are also grown and pressed on the estate and this ancient art can be seen at first hand.
- Nearby historics towns: Paarl and Franschhoek offer much diverse shopping. The main street in Franschhoek holds many quaint, designer and up market stores, while Paarl, only 5 minutes away has the Paarl Shopping Mall, consisting of all the major retail and designer outlets.
